Allergen immunotherapy: Challenges for the prevention of asthma
Rhinology Future Debates Brussels 2017
Experts recommend for children with the ages of five, receive AIT if they have a family predisposition. These children are the ideal target population for AIT. The ideal candidates are those with allergic rhinitis but without asthma, however, with some indication that the allergic rhinitis is likely to spread down to their lower respiratory tract. This indication might be bronchial hyperactivity or the fact that they get wheezy with colds or the fact that their Eno gets elevated during the hay fever season.
Interviews were recorded during the Rhinology Future Debates Brussels 2017 with Oliver Pfaar, David Price, and Glenis Scadding.
